Employment and Training Unit (ETU)
       

Main objective of the unit:

     Confirming the faculty s strategy and policies concerned with serving its students and graduates and linking them to the labor market, and to be the main tool of the faculty in providing specialized training programs that focus on the development of skills and competencies, and qualifying students and graduates to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market. In addition to developing the capabilities and skills of the faculty s administrative staff by providing specialized training programs appropriate to the nature of the tasks entrusted to it. It also coordinates with the scientific departments to determine the training needs of faculty academic staff.

Vision:

    That the Employment and Training Unit at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science be an Excellence Center at the level of Egyptian public universities in the fields of training and employment  for students and graduates, in addition to developing the skills of the administrative and academic staff.

Mission:

     Providing various training courses, to qualify the students of the faculty to join the labor market, and help in providing distinguished employment opportunities through a network of targeted partners in governmental, private and non-governmental, local and international agencies, and communicating with them to help the faculty graduates wherever they are to reach the appropriate job opportunity for them. And developing the skills of the administrative and academic staff to provide a distinctive educational service.

Detailed Objectives:

1.   Qualifying students and graduates of the faculty and providing them with the skills and competencies necessary for the labor market.

2.   Providing suitable training opportunities through the partners targeted by the unit.

3.   Preparing for the faculty's annual employment fairs.

4.   Identifying the actual training needs of the faculty s administrative staff, and providing programs that suit those needs.

5.   Determining the training needs of academic staff and designing appropriate programs to meet those needs.

6.   Forming a network of relationships with government, private, and non-governmental agencies, related to the faculty s fields, and continuous communication with them to provide as many as possible of training and employment opportunities for students and graduates.

7.   Establishing a database on students and graduates and coordinating with the various partners to provide them with the needed data for providing suitable training and employment opportunities.
